Reflection on Class Instruction

12/11/07

Please find attached the following: lessonplanlj1.doc and rubric_wwi1.doc. The class was actually in the progressive period, which was the early 1900’s and WW1 was to follow. So even thought the plans were for WWI, we actually worked on the time period earlier because of class progression and the time period in which this assignment was due.

Work Done

o This project was accomplished with blind ambition on my part.

o I overestimated the amount of work to be done and the time frame for the assignment to be completed.

o The only part done to this date is the creation of questions, which took an entire class period of 90 minutes

o The classroom teacher still has not forwarded me the actual combined questions from the class.

o The assessment through Turning Point is scheduled for two weeks.

o I will actually have to convert the questions to Turning Point.

Problems

o Time

o Amount of tasks

o Organization

o Communication between the classroom teacher and the visiting instructor

o Rubric is changed completely

§ Only a part of it is used

o Lesson Plan is too extensive
